of the Carbine Sling belt. Kinda like a decorative piece that covers the cut off point of your belt. Being that there is still leather attached it may be worth your time to go back to that same spot and listen close for any signals within ten feet or so. There should be a brass Carbine sling buckle there as well if it was a dropped belt. There may be a large brass belt stud or two there as well. HH, Erle from Va.
