All coils for the dfx,mxt,m6 will work. the new ones, special calibrated to the v3's boost mode will also work in boost mode which the older ones won't.
@centerhit - I'd go for the minelab. Less problems in coils and programming.

The new coils, made to work in the boost mode also are marked (stamped) with a "V" in the serial on the coils ears. (this is only for the whites ones.)

If given the chance to test drive one of theses machines, I would give it all the same treatment as I give my " MXT " and " IDX ", with that being said. It's a White's, with all the changing tech on the market. There is one you can't beat, and that's white's dependible reputation. 60 plus years, and still able to keep up with " Minelab ". And now they have a true " Hot Rod " of a metal detector. Just my thought....
