Plate repaired...Don't take me wrong, I'm not into repairing relics on a regular basis at all. But this one had a special place for me and as soon as I dug it I knew it had to be repaired to make it presentable. I dug this US belt buckle about two years back from the Frasher Farm owned by a friend of mine. I had been hunting at this location for over two years and knew there was a plate there somewhere. Robert McDaniel made the repairs and I must say from what he had to start with he did me proud!
Thanks for looking, HH, Erle from Va.

I can't blame you on wanting to get that one repaired. He did an excellent job on that plate. Very talented restoration.

Wow! That plate looks awesome! Did he have to add some to it in order to make it look right?

Robert did some rim repair...from the 2 oclock to 6 oclock positions, masked the fold cracks and added lead to the back due to brittleness from the straightning process. He was maticulate to get my permission as to how far he took the restoration. The surface ripples were left at my request based upon his recomendations. I'm blown away by his talents and the care he puts into his repairs. Robert deals by phone and hand writen letters only to my knowledge. I still have his letters as we wrote during te restoration process. HH, Erle from Va.
