My first Bullet finally...YEAH !!Hey IAN and BRIAN......... its been a while, I usually quit detecting when the weeds and bugs show up,However the wife and me came home after a gruelling 150 mile trip and i was tired, but for some reason I wanted to detect this spot where I have only found barbwire modern nails and generally crap I really wasnt that into mding just goofing around (we had only 30 mins of daylight left! The first swing produced this beautiful relic you see, the funny thing is it rang like iron at first after I got it out on the surface it rang right ? Ive seen this phenomenon with my machine about 1 out of 10 times and large iron has rang like non ferrous ??? I beat myself to pieces ALL winter and spring researching and looking and found nice things but no "awesome CW relics like I wanted" and while messing around found one of the things I was seeking LOL Lastly, the really bizarre thing about this area its completely "bulldozer contaminated" I usually dont even hunt sites that arent "sterile" or natural lay of land This rascal was 4 inches deep under bulldozed flat earth, not a scratch on it !!! Also found an artifact 4 months prior 25 ft away from this,...ANY IDEAS? LOOKS CW to me. CS BUCKLE or SHELL is next !!!! sorry for the long post just a littl Xcited...

Big time Congrats!! 
The first bullet is something very special. I can still recall the exact spot where I dug my first one. Get out there and pound this site now. Chances are if there is one many more might be hiding. I'm not really sure about the iron item. Can you get a pic from a different angle also? Is part of it sticking up in the center? Fantastic find get out there and get the rest!!! Couldn't be happier for you. |

Thanks to all you guys, this is my favorite site, I just wanted to add something about this,my first bullet
The area where it was found is near a rr,land road and a church that was used as a CW hospital and morgue !!! Ive known this for sometime but never considered until i found the bullet and thought yeah railroad,water, town, flat land. diggin alot of junk though SIGH....modern contamination...the BANE of all MDers
