Ft. Donelson Hunt & Pics.....Cool temps and wind kicking at 30 mph had many of us wishing we were at home watching a football game this last Saturday. However, the thoughts of finding some cool Civil War relics or one of 52 tokens for one of the "big" prizes was plenty to keep us there. 12,000 relics and tokens had been buried for approximately 200 hunters. I met a young from Indiana by the name of "Kris", his family and friends before the hunt started...I could tell right away that Kris was a pretty sharp guy and would find his fair share of goodies. After some small talk we went our seperate corners for our final hunt preperations. 200 of us surrounded the 10 acre field with our tectors held high and our game faces on. At the sound of a horn we were off and swinging. I knew I was in the presence of the best hunters ever gathered in one spot...less me of course....I got my butt handed too me... I found a few relics and had a wonderful time...My best find was some new friends from Indiana, Georgia, Texas, Mobile Alabama and South Carolina...Here's a few pics....Hope you enjoy and hope to see you there next year!....
