First Hunt This Fall Season

I can't hunt in the heat....sure glad to see fall...Got out today for about 45 minutes or so....Went back to  a site I have found a few CW buttons at before...Found an Infantry Button, two flat buttons and the usual junk...How do you tell an officers I button from an enlisted I button? also included is a pic or two of my hunten' rig...Thanks for looking!

It's my understanding that the Officer Infantry buttons usually had a heavier
gilt than enlisted Infantry buttons. I've seen some non-dug ones that would
put your eyes out they had so much gilt.

Your hunting rig is a top-notch deal. I would love to have a set up like that! I see you've got some ammo cans on there to haul the relics out.

Also theres some backmarks on the buttons. What are they? I'm always interested in seeing what backmarks are dug on buttons. Congrats on your finds!

The only one I can read is the big flat button..."Wellinton".

Hey Buddy TN,

I live in NRW near Dortmund. Around 400 km off Kitzingen heading north. (slightly NW).

Yup, some really old stuff...but why doesn't it find ME. lOl
