Couple of Pic from DIV

If anyone ever gets the chance to hunt at a DIV dig I highly recommend it.These pics are from DIV X. Just thought I'd share some of them on the forum. John and Rose put on one great event! Great food and great people. I meet some great folks and came away with relics and friends. What more could you want?

Make's you wonder how some people find relic's just laying around. Anyone want to take a quess to who this guy is?

I have never been to the DIV...but would love to go...I have to do my homework and figure out how to get invited...maybe next year...Thanks for sharing the pics...

That would be me Erle from Va. ...

If I remeber right thats day three near the end of the hunt on top of the Mass. Ridge. Calling the Wife, half asleep and wishing we had three more days to dig. There were a lot of miles hiked and a lot of holes dug over the course of three days. But boy is it fun!! Thanks for posting the Pic Brian.
That two beauties beside me are my Whites MXT and the Lesche Model 80 Relic Pro Short T handle diggin shovel. Talked with George Lesche at DIV XII and he recognized a prototype Relic Pro shovel that I have and was using at the time with a rubber foot pad. He said there were very few made like mine and it was the predicessor to the current Relic Pro Model 80. He had to look for his stamp mark on the shovel and it was still there.

Glad to see you checking in Erle!

Erle is the man in that hot soil up there in VA. His MXT was eating those relics  up.

I figured that's who that was!!!

Awesome photographs of history being recovered!

Thanks for keeping the forum going, guys!

Ian

That is a mean looking tool.  It's almost a must for the deep-woods hunters.

Congrats on the new Lesche shovel. George makes some mean tools. I love mine and don't think I could use another shovel.
