Congaree River Indian ChipHey Guys,
Went down to the Congaree River here in Columbia, SC to do some scouting. Within the first few minutes I found this quartz chip. Now, being a newbie at Native American artifacts, I would think that maybe there could be some nice points out there if I looked hard enough.
I'll probably head back tomorrow after work.
Here's what I found today. It's about the size of a quarter.

Thats something I need to look for more often. I need to find some plowed fields around here. Good find!

After looking at it more closely, I'm thinking it's just a 'rock'. Not a Native American artifact.
But, it still goes into my Rockhounding collection of quartz crystal!
