A few Bullets & a Whatizit?

Cool temps and strong winds made for a short hunt today....Lasted for about an hour. All of the bullets had een fired or at least damaged by farm implements, I tried to measure them, but most were too distorted. I think the first three are 52 Cal Sharps, I think the fifth may be an Enfield-Prichett?, andthe sixth is a 44cal Dragoon maybe??...Found a buckle, a wedge and a whatizit....Jump in there if ya can help!!! Definitely some great finds there.  I'm not real sure as to what the whatzit is.   Question It's the top item that you are referring to, right?

If you don't mind, I'll throw it on the new show in our What's It segment.  Maybe we can get an ID!

This is the closest thing I can come up with would be a fired
Cosmopolitan St. Louis Arsenal pattern .52 caliber bullet. What do you think?

That almost looks like a bored wintertime soldier "made" a bullet by carving you can see the lands and grooves, If he made something he probably wouldnt have shot it though.

If he did, he may have done what all boys do, shoot it straight up and listen for it to fall back and try to find it.   (boredom)

its a stretch, but the bullet has not impacted anything , it has rifling marks.
that says its been fired.

is it lead, wood, ceramic,   well theres my 2 cts.
