After you finish testing the coil & post your review......which I'm excited about reading......do you plan to sell the coil if it does Great....and if so..will it be cheaper than Kellyco ???
There are no plans to sell this coil. It is a MONSTER! I got an Indian Head Penny today at 8 inches. Still trying to get the date on it, but an awesome find at 8 inches.
If anyone is interested in buying the coil, contact JW(John White) at Kellyco. Tell him Ian at Research and Recovery sent you!
Have you weighed the coil yet ??? If so or not...post how much it weighs...that way we can compare the weight to the 6x10dd & Super 12" coils.....as we all know the 1400dd coil is too heavy for any long term swinging.....

Hey Robert, I haven't yet weighed it, but I can tell you it does weigh slightly heavier than both the 6x10 and 12". I haven't played with a 1400DD, so I don't know about that one.
I swung the coil for almost 15 hours over this past weekend, and yes I did feel it in my arm. But I feel that the extra weight is worth getting deeper, having better separation, and better target identification--- Especially when relic hunting!
The coil I have tested is the 15x12. I do know others who are currently running the 10x12 and they absolutely love it. Some members of a club I belong to in Charlotte, NC are finding older coins in areas that had previously been hunting out for ages.
So, maybe if the weight is an issue, opt for the 10x12. I do not know how deep this one is compared to the 15x12, but from the other reports I have heard is that it has the same superior Target Separation and Identification.
I will tell you that I have a 12" imager, and they do what theyre supposed to do, but mine IS heavy and I feel it, seriously this will produce muscle at some point. youll know the MDers by the one huge arm... LOL.
Mine could be used as a snowshoe also, resin filled,thick poly
Anyway I agree with Ian, these coils are the "big guns" to be taken on sites you REALLY want to know whats in the ground,because I assure you that stock coils miss a lot of the less than golf ball stuff.

Not only do they allow you to get down into the ground further, but they also cover a lot of ground with one sweep which is very helpful in a clean place.
